At Eagle Crest Cottage, our mission is to provide our guests with an unforgettable vacation experience. We believe that everyone deserves to escape the stresses of everyday life and enjoy some time in a beautiful, relaxing environment.

Just 2 scenic hours from the Twin Cities, 15 minutes from Spooner, and 45 minutes from Hayward, you're not far from in-town fun! Main Street in Spooner has numerous shops to peruse, including a book store, multiple antique stores, wine shop, bakery, coffee shop, and much more. A fantastic brewery, the Midwest's only Organic Winery/Distillery, and ample other restaurant/bar options are just minutes away! Or if you prefer to curl up in front of the wood fireplace with a good book, a bit of rest & relaxation is always a great option!
If nature and exploration are more your vibe, look no further than just outside the cottage door. Lipsett Lake was voted the #1 best crappie and #4 best largemouth bass fishing lake in Northwestern WI by the Duluth News Tribune in 2023, and throwing a line in is as easy as casting off the dock. There are also countless ATV/UTV trails nearby, with snowmobilers having access to 100s of miles of trails directly from the boat landing during winter, and up to two trucks w/ trailers can be parked outside the cabin (additional parking may be available; please contact with us with vehicle/trailer sizes to coordinate).

As Eagle Crest Cottage's name might imply, there's a bald eagle nest on the property, with regular up-close sightings of these majestic creatures*.
*Eagle Disclaimer - Unfortunately we do not control nature, so eagle sightings are not guaranteed (though guests report seeing them very regularly).
Amenities
The 1030 sq. ft. cabin boasts an open floor plan and offers 3 bedrooms to sleep 6 comfortably (2 main-level BRs w/ Queen beds and loft w/ 2-Twin XL beds) and one spacious main-level full bathroom.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots/pans, appliances, and pantry staples you'll need to get a good start on a delicious meal. Did we mention we have 28+ spices for your use to help with even the most intricate recipes? The dining area showcases a hand-built, live-edge teakwood table with seating for 6. We also have an outdoor bonfire area, perfect for enjoying s'mores, and we provide a Weber gas grill (during warmer months) for your outdoor cooking needs.
The lounging area features a large SmartTV, so be sure to bring your logins for your favorite streaming apps. Otherwise we have a great selection of DVDs for you to enjoy! The wood fireplace provides a great ambiance on those cool nights.
Enjoy lakefront living at its best by heading down the steps behind the cabin. We offer non-motorized watersports for your warm-weather enjoyment, from kayaks to stand-up paddleboards. Have a boat or jet ski? A public landing is just steps up the road and it can be kept at our dock, no additional dock slip needed! In the snowy months, we provide 2 sets of snowshoes, or perhaps try your hand at ice fishing!
We have also partnered with Northwoods Sauna Co. to offer their mobile sauna services, which can be delivered to the cabin for a day or your whole stay!
